Church of Scientology gets privileged Met police info | Metro News

The Metropolitan Police have given the Church of Scientology privileged information security according to reports.

A freedom of information request found the Met is giving the controversial church, of which Tom Cruise and John Travolta are devotees, information on safety matters.

The sect, founded by science fiction writer L Ron Hubbard, has previously entertained City of London officers on several occasions.

Critics fear the move is an attempt by the group to gain respectability.
