  •  It is a general principle (5+ / 0-)

of systems theory that systems seek stability and resist change. Political systems are no exception to that.

    •  It look like they're succeeding in VA (3+ / 0-)

and they're going to do it in PA. This is the biggest threat to democrats to emerge, maybe even bigger than Citizen's United. I'm not sure "we" can stop this since republicans control the levers of power where it's happening.

      •  Yes if this succeeds in VA and PA, I feel those (1+ / 0-)

states will be lost for Democrats for the House and White House.
And then if it should succeed in WI , Yikes...We are in deep trouble and danger of getting a Democrat in the White House again.

But it will be really scary to lose PA and I think it is going to happen in PA. We are going to have Photo Voter ID next election plus from what I am reading in PA papers, it looks to be almost a sure thing for the electoral college distribution vote to happen.

must be through the proposition process:
Prop 1:  Restore "winner take all" for 2016 election.
Prop 2:  Redistricting to be done by non-partisan commission from now on starting now with a special redistricting to restore representative government.
Prop 3:  Join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
Prop 4:  Polling place equipment capacity in polling places based on number of voters to be served.

          For starters.

Even Democrats can be asses. Look at Rahm Emanuel.
