Never heard of him before, but I may have to add a new name to the list of folks to profile for the Inmates of the Asylum feature I'm doing here now.

    •  Yep - I found his Twitter and, as expected, he's (0+ / 0-)

been kind enough to provide an embeddable video of his douchebaggery:

questions about national security and foreign affairs. Mr. Duncan has the experience to face up to Secretary Clinton. Yep, he sure does, and he showed it today. That local bank and real estate and South Carolina legislative stuff really, really prepared him.

Same with Johnson. Hot damn! Every aspect of plastic sheet making for thirty-one years! What preparation!

A few "main street" types, though I can't think of one right now, have educated themselves to become outstanding legislators on the national level fairly early in their careers. Seriously though, what are voters thinking when they send the small time banker and realtor and the plastic sheet making expert to represent them in affairs ranging from national economic to national security affairs with no other obvious qualification? Hell, let's go down to the local college band and get that drum major a direct commission in the U.S. Army to win in Afghanistan!

Our "everyman/woman" thing is out of control. Hey, for that next four way bypass there is this really great plumber that knows all about pipes and circulating liquid! Why do we do the equivalent with national office?

The only foes that threaten America are the enemies at home, and those are ignorance, superstition, and incompetence. [Elbert Hubbard]
