    to go on a mission - many opportunities as I used to meet a friend down at 32B-32J for some after work pool and beer during the hotel strikes.

      and we're long past the day when an inflated rat causes a union to lose the PR battle.

      signify that scabs were crossing a picket line, usually the Oyster Bar in NYC, was the one I usually saw when I worked across the street from it.

        can't say I miss the commute- left the city in '98.  still have the occasional bad dream about the commute from the upper west side (you can't get there from here) to 45th and 3rd in the summer, wearing a suit, waiting for the shuttle in 700 degree heat.

        bleh.  got so bad, started to drive to work on really bad days (wife worked on 43rd and 5th), work late so I can get partial reimbursement for the parking.
