      No President in history has ever had the audacity to call up the Senate Majority Leader and say he wanted something done, or twist a few Senators' arms (*cough*Johnson*cough*) to get something done.  Why, it would violate the Separation Of Powers, which means that the President should never even speak to any member of either house of Congress!  No President has ever exerted any form of pressure on legislators from his own Party!

      (Snicker......)
