reform the filibuster in any meaningful way: 2014 is going to be a tough year for Democrats in the Senate, especially if they have to vote on gun control this year or next. Any southern or western Democratic Senator that votes for any form of gun control will be toast in 2014 (unless of course Republicans run anymore Todd Akins). The prospects of flipping the House are also very slim. If Democrats are the minority in the Senate in 2015, finding 41 votes to stop terrible Republican legislation will be almost impossible. Democrats do not vote lock-step like Republicans. We all know Obama will sign bad bills if Congress passes them so the filibuster may be the only way to stop some very bad outcomes if Republicans gain full control of Congress in 2014.

Let's not let 2014 be anything like 2010. Republicans only win when we stay home!
