  •  Scott Walker knows the truth (3+ / 0-)

Protests only matter if you care.  If 100,000 protesters in Madison didn't stop him there is not much that we will be able to do about vouchers.  Governor Walker is simply serving his true constituency, the Corporations.

And remember, just because he may lose in 2014 doesn't mean all the damage he is causing will disappear.  No matter what we do the Republicans will control the gerrymandered legislature.  We have been thoroughly outmaneuvered.

They have a plan, the have discipline and they have money; a very dangerous combination.

Press events where parents of students with disabilities win coverage to their side, which can then generate buzz for working with friendly-on-this-issue GOP legislators... I think that's something else again.

Take another look at the words of the GOP state senate president from the diary:

"This is phase one of a wide-open school voucher program for the state," Senate President Mike Ellis (R-Neenah) said. "The governor didn't respect the thoughts of about eight or 10 Republican senators who didn't want it in the budget."
This is not a lost cause.  Not yet.
