    ...a disaster.

Chris is being professionally optimistic here.

The BEST spin I can put on this is that if the Republicans go back to a completely obstructionist filibustering mode then it needs to become THE issue in the 2014 elections across the board...and then we MUST change the rule in 2015.

It's healthy to get pissed off when you've been screwed, let's be real folks.   That doesn't mean we have to become cynical and walk away...but to NOT be disappointed when Democrats yet again FAIL to actually USE the power they have would, itself, be a sign of not really caring very much.

This does not sit well with me at all.
I'm close to saying adios to Dem Party - I do
not enjoy being played the fool. I do not
respect these leaders and their flimsy values.

The Senate itself is an ode to minority rights.
The minority does not need further empowerment.

    •  And what "we" are we talking about here. (0+ / 0-)

"We" Democrats?  "We" Kossacks?  If the latter is what's being claimed, what is the evidence for it?  I imagine Reid thinks it's all his own handiwork, so is there any evidence to the contrary that pressure from Kossacks had any provable influence?
