    this gets in the conversation:

REID: Oh, we could have done it [filibuster reform] in the last Congress. But I got on the Senate floor and said that I made a mistake and  I should have helped with that. It can be done if Obama is re-elected, and I can still do it if I have a majority, we can do it with a simple majority at the beginning of the next Congress.

but we won't and didn't. I'm still angry as hell about this...this vote was not just about regulating the asinine behavior of our elected representatives, it was about the effort that the American people made to ensure a particular agenda.

do I need to add that decisions made about specific Senate rules should not have primacy over the express wishes of the electorate in terms of safeguarding their own, the public  interest ? Harry Reid has just allowed for continued obstruction...he now owns this. And it's so absurd because nothing says this Senate rule even has to exist. It is not necessary to the function of our government.

We've been cut off at the knees. And the Democrats who supported Mr. Reid's collapse, should be held just as  accountable. If they are ashamed to be named, then they are ashamed of their vote.
