    is that the Republicans in that state believe that they can WIN that state down the road and they can if they have a good candidate and message.

    What this means is that the Republicans in these battleground states are throwing in the towel that they will never win these states in the future.

    Virginia which is a red state just a presidential cycle ago is throwing in the towel.  Who would have thought.

      When I quoted the Republican speaker of the House in Florida, I actually was thinking, he doesn't want to allocate electoral votes when one of the Republican possibilities is Marco Rubio.  On the other hand, if Hillary runs and the Democrats nominate her, the Clinton brand has done pretty well in Florida, both in 1996 and in the Democratic primary in 2008.
