...is guilty of using child labor and other such workplace practices to some degree or another, right? FoxConn supplies just about every major consumer electronics/computer maker in the world these days.

Not saying it's right, but Samsung doesn't win any brownie points for their humanitarianism.

        child labor.

Got to admire their ability to extract so much money from their customers.

Not sure I admire their current marketing savvy though: their case in the patent wars against Samsung is, more or less, that the Samsung phones are too much like an iphone for less money.

Maybe that's why their stock is plunging.

labor problem -- and a lot more on top of it than any other consumer electronics company -- so you need a lot more evidence before lobbing such accusations at them.  Here, read their latest

      Supplier Responsibility Report

(pdf) which details how they terminated suppliers guilty of using child labor and similar crimes.

More a reference to their mystical ability to extract large sums of money from their customers than to their shady outsourced labor practices.

        •  They are also doing more to solve the problem (0+ / 0-)

But never mind, because it's so much fun to bash Apple these days.

I have expressed nothing but admiration for their ability to take rubes to the cleaners.
