  •  Maybe she could consider running in California (0+ / 0-)

at some point down the line. There are plenty of offices there for a well connected and well known Hollywood liberal, and a lot of the current officeholders are getting up there in years.

...with high-profile Democratic officeholders up and down the state.

Kentucky really doesn't have any high-profile Democratic electeds on the bench waiting to take on McConnell.

      •  We have Jack Conway and he is just a fantastic guy (2+ / 0-)

Seriously. He was rabidly undercut by trolls here during his campaign against Rand Paul, so he isn't appreciated as much as he should be.

Crit Luallen is a heavyweight, but she's reticent it seems. Which is a shame. If she ever ran... her legacy would far outshine Martha Layne. Come on Crit... Kentucky deserves better than Mongiardo.

We have a young bench in Conway and Alison Lundergan, and Jonathan Miller.

Yarmuth is just incredible... goes without saying.

Lexington's Kathy Stein needs to move up and out of her comfort zone.

And, dear gawd, please dump some ice cold water on Mongiardo's plans to run for Governor in 2015.

And whatever happened to Virginia Woodward and Lois Weinberg?

We've got plenty of viable candidates in California.  We don't need Ashley Judd.  Right now, we need people who will challenge Darrell Issa (my preference is Jerry Tetalman), Kevin McCarthy, John Campbell and others.  We basically need to finish off all these in the GOP for re-election.
