Seriously. Show me. Because I bend over backwards to make it clear, both in my writing and comments, that's not what I'm doing. As you know. Because we've covered this before, you and I. The closest I get to attacking a "believer" is when I smack those Catholics in Congress, like Paul Ryan, who invoke their faith when it's convenient (i.e., abortion) and dismiss their faith when it isn't (i.e., the budget). But I think that's pretty fair.

I make no secret of how I feel about the Church. That's true. It's also deserved. But never, not once, have I attacked "Catholics." Show me one single time I have, and I will admit my error and redouble my efforts to make the distinction clear.

But you and I both know you're not going to find anything. Because I don't take issue with Catholics. I take issue with their leadership. And like I said, that's more than fair.

but not for the reasons he migh think.

The evil heirarchy of the Catholic church IS the church.  Those who stay in the institution, pay money to the institution, and continue to support the Catholic church are complict with the heirarchy.  It is not as though anyone cannot remove himself/herself from the institution and even keep their faith in whatever religion they choose.  ( By constrast, someone cannot stop being Irish or Black or Peruvian...)

So yes, an attack on the Catholic heirarchy which shields and suports child rape is an attack on ALL Catholics- and it should be.

As my father used to say,"We have the best government money can buy."
