    "we, the people" speech. I suspect that's because this is a very confrontational phrase. It is a challenge to the believers in a necessary hierarchy to make up for the "fact" that most humans are terribly flawed. The "mob" must not be allowed to govern.

    Why is there so much opposition to the people? Why has "public" been turned into a dirty word? Why do so many humans dislike and disdain and disrespect their own kind? Why are so many people afraid of other people?

    Well, the answer to the last question is pretty obvious. Some people are out to subjugate and exploit them and that makes them suspicious. On the other hand, it seems possible that the exploiters actually have no choice. If they can't coerce other people to do for them what they are incapable of doing for themselve, then they won't survive. The ability to communicate needs, it seems, has evolved to compensate for man's physical immaturity at birth. "Talkers" get more sustenance and care to the point that deficiencies in some of their senses go unnoticed.

    We organize governments to deliver services and prevent abuse.
