  •  So do we know what happened? (0+ / 0-)

What did she know and when did she know it.  If it failed to reach her level, why and who specifically made the decisions to ignore the ambassador?

Can she explain how, despite confirmed knowledge to the contrary, she decided to release false information.

Can she explain the conflicting statements she has made under oath.

If she, at  this point, is only concerned about the 4 dead Americans, at what point should she have become concerned to prevent their deaths.  She does not appear to be concerned until after someone is killed when she has the apparent authority to do something before hand

Gosh, who had the bad week?  Probably the families of the dead people who had to watch this festival of lies

    •  Did you see the testimony? (8+ / 0-)

      Did you understand it?

    •  This idiotc series of rightwing talking points (6+ / 0-)

probably should be HR'd, but I'll not waste one of my donuts on such garbage, or risk HRing for the wrong reasons.

Maybe some other Kossacks can send this RedState spew where it belongs...down the memory hole.

are many other sources of information other than Fox News.

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.

Whether the State Department had noted the Fox-induced discontent over the Dreaded You Tube Video of Blasphemy or not, the predictable reaction from the right wing demagogues would have followed the response: Mention passions stirred by the video and the State Department was preoccupied with irrelevant minutiae; don't mention the video, and the criticism would have been why isn't the State Department mentioning the video? Cover up!

A classic "heads I win, tails you lose" scenario carried out by the most cynical jackals ever to rise to high office.

But as to your point about preventing deaths before the attacks, the State Department was on record as requesting additional security time and again. They were denied because of the cost. Who denied those funds? Why, the Republicans in control of the House, of course.

Can the House Republicans explain their shocking behavior in first denying additional appropriations for security and then their craven grandstanding when lack of security led directly to people being killed?

But it is encouraging - I guess - to see that Republicans are at long last evincing some concern over the victims of their murderously negligent policies, even if it is only to grandstand and demagogue.

What false information are you talking about? When describing the attackers, they dropped the word "al quaeda" from the talking points and substituted "militants" to not tip their hand?  Duh. Yeah, that really threw people off the trail. You seriously overestimate the subtlety of bureaucrats.  Not to mention the killers of our people.

There were waves of violent protests all across the Mideast over the cartoon.  All she was saying here is, does it matter if they were killed as a result of spontaneous protesters going out of control or by people who planned an attack (and what a coincidence that it occurred during waves of protests across the Arab world!  Oops, sorry, don't mean to be judging here)

The point is: Who cares,  other than loser dead-end Republicans who have nothing better to do?  The ones who brought us Iraq and dozens of attacks back to the Marine barracks in Beirut that killed 250.  No shame.

I'm sorry if I sound angry. I try to argue by reason and fact. But this manufactured "scandal" is so obviously political and so disrespectful of dead heroes that I cannot restrain myself.

      •  Excellent points! You do realize, however, (0+ / 0-)

that you were responding to a right wing troll, don't you?

That's OK, though...there's no bad time to make a good comment. :-)
