  •  Hi nomandates! (6+ / 0-)

Hope you are having a lovely Saturday. Its friggin' cold here and I can't wait for next week when it starts to warm up. On the other hand, next week is when school re-opens, so maybe I'll just prefer the weekend to last forever while I bundle up in my bed. ;-)

I know you are really excited about the new initiatives about Texas and that sounds really good. What else are you up to?

    •  I'm too busy, poco. (3+ / 0-)

Been busy with work and family stuff. Beyond that, my political stuff is taking up most of my spare time atm. Just trying to figure out what is going on with the county and state party stuff is a challenge. I literally just found out that there's a meeting tomorrow afternoon that I think I'm supposed to attend :-(

And there's some behind-the-scenes planning going on for our statewide meetup on March 2nd.

This week's developments are exciting, so that's keeping me going for now.

Sorry to hear that it's so cold up there. We're warmer down here than we should be during January, but another cold spell is coming thru to cool things off again by next weekend.

Have you planned anything for this weekend aside from bundling up? Reading a good book? Watching a movie?

      •  Well, it snowed a bit today, so (thank god!) (3+ / 0-)

        got a bit warmer.

Sorry that you are so busy and swamped with work. And meetings on Sundays???!! Man! That's gotta suck.

There is a bollywood version of Othello, called Omkara that is on top of my to-be-watched list, so I may get to that. OTOH, I may just watch Chris Hayes (today he had very good segments on Aaron Swartz, and on NFL head injuries, and on climate change) and then spend the afternoon cooking and doing the crossword puzzle on the Sunday Times.

Last minute tinkering on my new syllabi is also on the cards.

        •  Yep. (3+ / 0-)

Since confirmed that I need to attend that meeting, which means I'm scrambling around tonight foraging for food and getting chores done. But it seems like an important meeting, one that will help me to learn the ropes.

Does Omkara have subtitles? And what did you cook?
