  •  You sincerely think that makes this (6+ / 0-)

    make more sense?

I'm laughing. Out loud. A rollicking belly laugh at that, and for several reasons at that.

But why should the Illuminati be a serious target for further study precisely?

    It's a rhetorical question. Really.

    •  The ethical considerations portion is hilarious. (3+ / 0-)
    •  The biggest problem with this piece is the (0+ / 0-)

language, even in the excerpts it uses too many "big words" for the sake of using "big words" a phenomenon generally caused by having access to a thesaurus and a need to sound important.  This leads to awkward sentences that obscure the intended meaning.   In the fuller context the reference to the Illuminati seems to be a placeholder, not suggesting there is an Illuminati but that the current corporatism leads to actions and situations similar to what has been ascribed to the Illuminati.

There is never going to be a "one world government", however, the world's biggest corporations can and do get governments around the world to do what they want and how they want it.  You can not look at the response to the economic crisis and not see that the financial firms that helped create the economic mess have then used that mess to introduce laws and changes that favor them over the rest of the population.  This is not evidence of an Illuminati but of human greed and there being only certain paths that can be taken by the already wealthy and powerful to amass more wealth and power.

      •  Disagree about the big words (6+ / 0-)

although if you mean that it's full of jargon, yet, that's sort of an issue. I'm used to it, personally, in my field, however in context, the usage of that term (and also the word "triangulation" which is misused -- badly), is honestly quite funny.

I think I'll be smiling all day.

Naturally, I think media and propaganda are serious problems. And so does a Communications Major somewhere at a small College in Washington. Find me a Coms Major who doesn't think this, laugh...

But the Illuminati. That's a lovely touch.
