  •  You mean Impact Statements ... (0+ / 0-)

... and Non-disclosure Orders, you know, the kinds of things that happen in courts in every county and every city all across the country every day, all day long?

Courts do Sentencing and/or Victim Impact Statements for people convicted of the most minor of felonies and some Class 2 misdemeanors. In my jurisdiction, the evil County Probation Office does the research and prepares the sentencing statement. (The actual victim has the option of preparing a victim impact statement). Of course they include information not heard at trial -- otherwise why would they need the statements in the first place! Most jurisdictions require this done for each such defendant!

Moreover, any party to any kind of legal action can request the Judge keep information secret, and it happens all the time with trade secrets, client lists and that sort of thing. Is national security no less important than Geico's client list?

Check your local courthouse. They are doing this same stuff all day long.  Man, does Jessalyn have ya'll hoodwinked.

I would tip you, but the man took away my tips.
