Payment Alliance International was the first to create a complete Shooting Sports Payments Package and will process credit & debit cards in a storefront, wireless or e-commerce environment.

While other card processors have walked away from the firearms/shooting sports industry, Payment Alliance International has embraced it. We work with over 1000 FFLs and industry professionals and offer a wide variety of payment solutions to meet your individual needs. Under the Shooting Sports Payments Package, Payment Alliance International offers a guaranteed lowest pricing point and a portion of every card transaction is donated to the National Shooting Sports Foundation or the NRA

      •  That is much worse (0+ / 0-)

They guarantee the lowest rates for shooting sports businesses.  This means that anyone who moves to PAI with this package will end up saving money.  Boycotts like this are not going to have much teeth.  Also, would other businesses think twice if their payment processor is politically unreliable?  Could this potentially affect family planning clinics or women's health services?

        •  We have a small business. We accept credit cards. (10+ / 0-)

Payment processing is a dime a dozen, cut throat business. We get AT LEAST 3 phone calls a month from folks who promise to process credit cards cheaper than anyone else. I personally hate them all and try to educate my customers that a check is best. Everytime I swipe a card, it is generally about 3% of the total sale. Wrap you head around that! For some merchants - credit card is best. For us - check is much better. We receive very, very few bad checks.

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.

risk taking a check from an out-of-town total stranger than take credit cards.  Makes sense to me.

        •  Not if they can prove criminality (0+ / 0-)

The intent is basically racketeering. They create an entire industry from gun manufacturing>lobbying>fake groups like the NSSF>credit card processing.

If they are doing anything not to the exact letter of the law, they should be investigated. Do they have knowledge that the guns bought on-line were sold illegally? If they do, they could be held liable civilly.
