  •  Dreaming of warmth again, and I think I've figured (4+ / 0-)

    out a way to 'trellis' the spaghetti squash and cukes I want to grow horizontally to keep them off the ground so they don't rot.  My plan is merely to wrap the ends of the wire mesh I'm using around some bricks, so I have a mesh a few inches above the ground.  I'll just need to check every few days to make sure any fruit is supported above the mesh, and not dropping down below it.  The squash are temperamental at low temps, though, so I won't even be able to start them indoors til mid-late march.

    Darnit, spring, get here!
