    applies to this activity.  By claiming to the public that these industries are needed to allow training that will result in communities being safer, because convicted and released felons living among them, now have skills to work instead of steal.

    Everything from the GOP and ALEC relies upon making the public and voters fearful of something so they can profit from it.

        Oaktown Girl.  This has been their justification now for more than 20 years as they worked to expand these programs.

        They claim recidivism is down for those prisoners who are "trained" in these industries, thus measurably, crime is decreased and there are fewer victims.

        Your statement of horseshit is precisely what it is - but the public has to come to know this and put a stop to the bleeding of our children on the school to prison path and the industries where they will be put to work.
