  •  I don't see the senate flipping (0+ / 0-)

    solely on the results of Reid's decision regarding the filibuster, as lousy of a decision as I think it was. And imo, it was a terrible, no good decision.

    But the republicans holding everything up by filibuster hasn't worked out swell for them either.  Americans are getting very wise to that game, and showed it in the 2012 elections.

    No, the most important factor in the loss of the senate in 2014 will be the voters. If Democrats pull another 2010 at the polls, we could lose the senate, as we just got lucky the GOP ran so many idiots in 2010.

    And to all those here who repeatedly assure us that they plugged their nose and voted in 2010, I remind that a winning spirit does not thrive with a plugged nose.  And we will pay for the consequences of the 2010 elections for some time to come.  

    Our base WILL face the same decision in two years that we did two years ago.  Will we get over our disappointments and  fight for the mid terms, or will we plug our noses and vote like a party that's already lost?
