  •  Thank you for the hints! And what a lovely shawl! (6+ / 0-)

I will keep this diary in mind for my knitting projects -- which are pretty basic so far.  Picking up stitches in sock gussetts is as complicated as I get so far.  I made my husband NormAl1792 socks for Christmas and am now working on 2 pairs of socks for myself as well as a quilted book bag for a niece.  I'm really thrilled that the two squares I pieced for the Okiciyap quilt were used.  Melanie in Iowa has done a wonderful job putting all the pieces together.  You can see the quilt in today's post at the DK Quilt Guild.

I am also working on a third book, which will be available in eformat in about 6 months.  I have 2 ebooks available on Amazon now: The Last Princess of Atlantis, and To Kill an Eidolon.  Both are a variety of biotech thriller.  The pootie people have been kind in their reviews.  Now I'm working on something that is lighter and more amusing science fiction.

Just wish I had more time and energy to do more things.  I love the polymer clay beads that were posted last week!  Very lovely!

I just read your Eidolon book and enjoyed it very much! I was hoping you'd say you were working on a sequel! :-) Anyway, I like the biotech aspect, gives it interesting layers. Very cool!

I love it that Obama's channeling Harry Truman: "I don't give 'em hell; I just tell the truth and they think it's hell!"

I do have a background in biotech as I have a Master's Degree in genetic engineering.

There will be sequels.  I have started the next book.  The problem is that I have four books fighting to get out of my head right now.  I'm working mostly on a series of short stories set in Chicago in the 19th C.  Older middle aged woman woman runs a boarding house for aliens.  And I do mean aliens.  The story I am working on now is a Cat comes to the house looking for something that is lost.  Cats are highly valued outside of Earth.

Having lots of fun with it!
