    Does anyone factor in planting trees (as in planting them faster than people are cutting them down) as a way of reducing CO2?

      my complaint with it is when they cut old growth in Laos and replace it with Chinese rubber plantations for car tires.

      In truly unforested areas it can make things wetter and provide food and shade for other species of plants and animals.
