    frankly they don't seem to be big into eating snails - they still go for the old-fashioned pig/cow type meats.  IOW, some of the biggest offenders global warming-wise . .. .

        don't really mind.

        It was an interesting conundrum when you go to lunch and 0,2 L of coca cola costs 1,00 euros and 0,5 L of draft beer costs 1,10 euros . .. . (well, not really!).

          On our trip to Transylvania in September, that was pretty spot-on.  200 ml of tea usually cost about the same as 500 ml of beer, while lemonade took the prize at 500 ml for double the price.

            offered in the spirit that it wasn't really much of a conundrum to choose between beer and 40% of the same volume of non-beer at the same price.

            If that makes any sense.
