    lately--anybody noticed that?

    they sound saner than the American mainstream press on financial matters. which is weird. I thought they were essentially a front for the global 1%!

      exactly what one thinks of when you talk about the IMF.  They were rather cooperative and worked with the government instead of dictating policy, they were fine with a 50-50 split of austerity and new revenue (instead of austerity-only) to solve the debt crisis brought on by the economic criss (largely unrelated to Icesave), they didn't demand Iceland sell off all of its assets, etc.  And they then decided that things are going well enough that they outright left Iceland to itself.  

      Who are these people and what have they done with the real IMF?  ;)
