    on the situation in Turkey with your excellent first-hand perspective. There is way too much spin on this, but your reports match much of what I heard when discussing Turkey (pre-fallout with Syria, mind you) with Turks, Kurds, and expats as well when I visited.

    I am sorry to hear of the deaths.

    I hope someday Turkey makes clear what happened with Armenia and lays that chapter to rest, however, the continuing attitudes toward Kurds tells me that may not happen.
