  •  A lot of the folks who are drawn to the (9+ / 0-)

attention-mining operation of TTFN are thin-skinned and are very easily hurt.

I will wager they are also some of those who are bent out of shape if you cannot endorse their ideas which are WAY off in left field and by not being able to see their brilliance you are part of the problem.

As I said somewhere else, some kossacks are just too sensitive for the real world.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

Usually the sensitive people are the ones that attract the drama in the first place.  I wonder with the new ban on dramatic exits if these people will continue to feel "hurt", now that they can't tell everyone how hurt they feel.

      •  You guys remind me of the story about the pig and (8+ / 0-)

the hen. They are going to start up a joint venture together suppling bacon and eggs to a café. The hen tells the pig "This is a great opportunity for me, I'm totally committed to the project."

The pig looks at the hen and says "committed - I'm not committed - I'm totally involved!"

You might consider that sounding harsh can be received as actually being harsh, and tough, rude, or inappropriate is often tough, rude, or inappropriate.

Lots of "thin-skinned" "sensitive people" have legitimate reasons for being easily hurt, having experienced or even empathized with some of life's painful moments.

You might be committed to this community, but you should understand that there are others that are totally involved.

It doesn't make them weaker than you, nor does it make them better - just different.

          is better than anyone else.

I don't really know what constitutes being "totally involved in this site" - I'm guessing that if you are constantly getting into pie fights with bullies, then maybe that counts?

Whatever...  from the looks of the comments on these diaries, it seems that the majority here agree with Kos.  So maybe, if you're a sensitive type, this isn't the right place for you.

But, my point is, I'm guessing that a lot of these "sensitive types" are actually seeking out the drama.  Don't reply, don't engage, and I guarantee you will have a lot fewer problems with the bullies.
