It's amazing that these people are smart enough to get out of bed in the morning without breaking their necks. With all the issues surrounding products these days I am simply astounded that the Gun Manufacturers have not taken it as a serious task to design a gun that is practical and able to be safely operated.

I know. I know.. the Safe Gun has been designed many times in the past but often thrown on the scrap heap by the Gun Lobby. It would only make sense to have a gun that protects the owner from accidental discharge. But people whine and carry on that it would somehow make it too difficult to fire when a crisis occurs. My response to that would be "GREAT!". The response of the average person SHOULD be hindered when it comes to actually pulling the trigger of a firearm. Only the police, who are actually trained to restrain themselves from killing an innocent person should be able to fire immediately if needed. The rest of us dumb humans need to be forced to think twice before throwing a deadly piece of high velocity metal through the air. In most cases in my opinion, the firing of a gun is unnecessary or often accidental. Restraining the owner of a gun from that very simple trigger pull would be saving many lives in the process.

It used to be back in the early days of firearms, that you had to manually reload either by ball and gun powder or in later years you had heavy trigger pulls as a hammer had to be pulled back before you actually fired. But these days it's just so automated that anyone with half a finger can kill someone else. It shouldn't be that easy to take a life.

We have so many advances in other areas of our lives, why hasn't the gun advanced as well? We have things like "life alert", Cell Phones, and Pagers. So why isn't a pistol used for self defense required to have an automated call in to police when the safety is off and your drawing down on someone? And with these inventions of killing so prevalent in public, why aren't they set up with a GPS locator or sorts or set up with a built in combination lock so the wrong person can't just pick it up and use it on you? These aren't hard things to refine and get installed in newer firearms but the Gun Lobby just wants the devices to be universally stupid and easy to kill anyone including a child that finds it sitting in a public bathroom. Why the hell is that allowed?
