All of it is in this quote.

“I feel like a pro-life position is a position that a lot of people have, but that doesn’t have anything to do with crazy talk about rape,” [Mississippi Republican Chairman Joe Nosef] added.
Here's the entire problem for the Republican party. They have to do the crazy talk. They don't have a choice. They've polarized their base so much they don't have a choice but to make the crazy talk to move their base to the polling stations.

But now (and that's what's really new), they can't contain the crazy talk to crazy-only audiences anymore. It used to work, one message for one audience, another message for another audience. But it doesn't work anymore. Not even in private. Just ask Mittens R-Money how his own millionaires-only 47% crazy-talk worked for him...

I deal in facts. My friends are few but fast.

    •  You don't think they can change (0+ / 0-)

their rhetoric to remarket themselves--yet again? They can take a page from the Dems and dial back the extremism, since the far right has "nowhere to go." (Not that the Dems have ever been extremist, but the fact is, nobody within a continent's reach of Mondale has even come close to getting heard in Dem leadership for decades.)

"Lone catch of the moon, the roots of the sigh of an idea there will be the outcome may be why?"--from a spam diary entitled "The Vast World."
