  •  You're saying that no government (0+ / 0-)

can ever be, or has ever been, so tyrannical as to justify taking another person's life?

You honestly have to be effed in the head to contemplate taking another person's life with absolutely zero provable and justifiable reason (gov't tyranny is not a valid reason).
What do we have a military for then, if government tyranny is never a valid reason to take a life? If it's not worth it to kill one person, how can it be worth killing tens of thousands of people?

the purpose of the second amendment is to promote a well-regulated militia, in the same sense that the purpose of the first amendment is to promote a well-informed electorate.

Or are you speaking of the US?  Because I see lots of people in the US ready to overthrow democracy by force, but none of them are in the government.  They are private citizens who openly speak of "second amendment remedies" and, on occasion, blow up a federal building.

That's not even "gun control". It's more like "massacre control".

Apparently what constitutes a tyrannical US government varies from person to person. Justifications for taking a life can vary... which makes things tricky since it depends on the situation at hand. This is why generalizations are easy to pick on.

I don't see the US government as being a tyrannical one, so I don't think it is a valid reason, if you kill someone, to say yep gov't tyranny. At. this. time.

I have an entirely different beef about our military, but it is not against the service members.

I'm not sure if I worded my sentiments correctly but anyway.

Why hello there reality, how are you doing?
