  •  I am well aware of the daunting task we face (9+ / 0-)

    with regard to our environmental problems.  But climate change isn't a problem that will end with extinction.  There was plenty of pain and suffering and dire times during WWII.   A lot of people lost their lives.  A lot of people suffered tremendously.  Many gave up hope.  I have faith in the human spirit.  

    I have spent over 25 years living in Asia in one country or another.  I'm well aware from first-hand experience what the environmental circumstances are in China.  I have gasped for air in Beijing and been stifled by the inversions living in Taipei.  For 10 years, while living in Bangkok, I watch as rice paddies disappeared to be replaced by ever expanding freeways that were choked with traffic as soon as completed.  I am not a pie in the sky unplugged from reality dude.  But I do have optimism and no sir -  it is not cute!  

    If we really want to straighten out all this crap we really need to think about shit - Holy Shit.
