    Not by people, if the states (all the states) awarded electors by a flat population number, that would be fair.

    Congressional districts are a political construct that have no bearing on the population at large.

    I don't see how this could be constitutional - but with our current SCOTUS, who knows?

    Just waiting for the "Acres are people too" arguments.

    If not us ... who? If not here ... where? If not now ... when?

      are configured on population not on geographic features.  It just so happens that you can draw your line on a "population map" any which way you want regardless of how much it may or may not make sense in terms of compatibility of issues.  I live in a district so twisted that there is no way you can say that the issues of one end of the district are anything like that of the other end.  So the alleged idea is to group people along similar interests but that is far from the truth.  We have fairly dense housing population on one end and rural farming communities on another end.  As long as there are more R's then our legislators are fine.
