...by John Nichols and many other people, and there's been quite a bit of outrage to the point that the Republican speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, Will Weatherford, blocked a bill that would rig Florida's electoral votes, and some top Virginia Republicans distanced themselves from a plan that would rig Virginia's electoral votes, and Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell has suggested that he may veto such a bill if hit hit his desk, although I wouldn't put anything past McDonnell.

Scott Walker has given vocal support to an electoral college-rigging scheme in Wisconsin, but the WI GOP may not have the votes in the state senate to pass it (it's believed that at least two Republicans in the state senate, probably Dale Schultz and Mike Ellis, may be against such an idea). Again, I wouldn't put anything past any of these Republicans.

Walker is trying to look like a moderate in hopes that if he lays low, smiles, and doesn't do extremist stuff, he'll get re-elected in 2014.  He's back tracked his earlier statement.

Besides, he did nearly 100% of the stuff he wanted in 2011.  The only thing he didn't get was his Mining Bill that they're trying to rush through now.  He got a lot of money from mining interests and they are demanding their open pit mines.

      •  The WI GOP seems to be a bit skittish... (2+ / 0-)

...about the mining bill, despite appearing to have the votes to pass that (there's only one Republican in the state senate, Dale Schultz, who appears to be against it, and Democrats would need their entire state senate caucus AND at least two state senate Republicans to derail the mining bill).

I think the WI GOP is a bit skittish about when to time the passage of the mining bill, as they don't want to cause an anti-GOP backlash right before a state supreme court election that is the single-most important election in the entire country in 2013.

Calm before the storm, but Walkers strategists have said that this will be Walkers strategy.  He'll be a pretend moderate, but we're out there ready to take him on in 2014.  I'm hoping for a great candidate.

Outgamie County Executive Tom Nelson...He's apparently been fundraising and some insiders have been throwing his name around as a potential gubernatorial candidate.

Whether or not he's reelected, I'm about 100% positive he will pull a Snyder. My greatest concern is for the fate of same day registration...

is to point out that this would be vote rigging, just like Voter ID and the gerrymandered districts.  Repeat it until "election rigging" becomes synonymous with Republican.

People hate politics - particularly politics that do nothing but feather ones nest.  And this is politicking at its worst.  Let the GOP destroy itself.
