trail as drug growers may be growing in the upper barrancas and be dangerous.

Don’t wander off the paths to the archaeological sites. The terrain is very rough and it would be unlikely to find help should you need it. Also, drug cultivators may occupy the barrancas of the remote Huapoca Canyon.
And the cliff dwellings in Huapaco Canyon! I had not heard of them either, I wear ignorance like a shirt!

In the discussions about Pueblo culture, somehow they are ignored, or mentioned in passing, or I just forgot, but they seem so relevant to such discussion.

And then there is a State Dept warning against travel to Chihuahua region right now especially, as Ciudad Juarez has the highest murder rate etc.
Kidnappings of usa-arians is popular as well.

Maybe covered in other comments by now..I don't know if this has screwed the Copper Canyon tourist business and the Railway ride or not.

Sorry to get off the path, diarywise, that's the way I get home. And of course you weren't on a tourist path either.

What a fantastic place. Thanks again.
