    Should we stop collecting taxes because it's easy to fudge on your income tax if you make tips?

    How about removing stop signs and red lights because people run them?  Or repealing all speed limits, everywhere, since most people go 5mph above them?  We could also make shoplifting legal, since people walk out of stores every day with merchandise without getting caught.  I mean, it's just so unfair - only the dumb shoplifters get caught, not the smart ones, why should we penalize the dumb ones?

    "Total and completely unenforceable" is a good reason not to enact a law.  A law requiring requiring everyone to put their left pants leg on first, even if it were for some reason a good idea, is totally unenforceable.  But merely being difficult to enforce with 100% compliance is no reason not to enact it.
