  •  As a mother (10+ / 0-)

I am tired of mother's being trotted out as weaklings who cannot defend themselves and their children. If a man had presented this pathetic tripe he would have been shot down (rats, poor wording), so, he would have been laughed out of the room by women.  Trotter is an NRA stooge and it was embarrassing to watch her ernestly try to convince whoever, that women can't take care of business with a regular firearm so they need to have scary looking weapons. Add that to Lindsey Graham's 'women need more than six bullets" to protect themselves. How about some target practice so you only need one bullet? That's cost effective.

    •  I am not a very big woman, (0+ / 0-)

nor am I all that strong, but I always believed that if someone attacked my children, I would go after the attacker with the strength of 10 women, and I would fight them to the death.

Sort of like my little rat terrier, who, while not very big or strong, is pretty darn terrifying when he's in snarling, snapping, barking "protect my family" mode.

babysitting my grandchildren, got up and looked down the hall at 2 burglars. So dressed in my Tinkerbell length nightgown, I shouted at them in my meanest grandmother voice to "Get the fuck out of here", and they did.

    •  Me too (0+ / 0-)

that testimony was insulting. Plus, some asshole called me a "city gal that wouldn't understand blah, blah blah (it was nothing about guns)" at work about ten minutes later - bad day.

I'm pretty tired of being told what I care about.
