playing with revolver after school when I was eight years old. My best friend Dave's mom was divorced and kept the gun under her pillow. We would get it out and wave it around. We were so cool. Trotter could not understand the pain she would feel if one of her kids accidentally shot themselves.

who took his dad's service revolver off the dresser while his off-duty policeman/dad slept and shot his little friend and himself.  I had just left their house after I stayed for an overnight with Judy.  Little Bro and his friend had pestered us all night.

The entire neighborhood cried for weeks and weeks and never forgot.   That was over 50 years ago and I can still remember how that revolver sounded.

a cop and he kept his service revolver on the top shelf of a locked closet. This was 50 years ago mind you and he was a very good cop.

        •  As an adult, my neighbor FBI agent sat around the (0+ / 0-)

house in nothing but his underwear wearing his service revolver in the holster he never took off.  That was a true sight for brain bleach, if there ever was one.
