  •  So why don't some Dem legislators introduce a (6+ / 0-)

    companion bill that requires that any proposed legislation based on corporate-written "model bills" targeting schools, that includes the rationale that x viewpoint must be incorporated into education because the opposing and dominant point of view is "steeped in controversy," must undergo review by a panel of educators who represent both sides of the "controversy" and receive approval before it can be voted on in the legislature?

    That's one more thing to add to my long list of small problems. --my son, age 10

      influence on state and federal legislatures, via money, model legislation, lobbyist connections, etc.  I'd imagine even high school kids might pay attention if the curtains are pulled back from our 'political sausage making' process and they realize that they and their future is what's going into the sausage grinder for corporate benefit.

      What we need is a version of ALEC for human beings, so that we can constantly be writing and submitting legislation on behalf of humans to counteract their legislation written on behalf of corporate persons.
