    You said:

(we'll ignore for now the mistakes regarding equality for blacks and women made by our forefathers if that's OK with you).
Not okay with me, although convenient for your ironclad thesis. There is much that is compelling and well written in your argument, but the blacks and women mistakes are huge holes in the entire idea of being born into a social contract, wouldn't you agree?
Your argument would be a lot stronger if you included the idea that some errors in the "original contract" were so egregious that normal processes for changing them through 100% lawful means broke down.
    What then?
Don't claim to have an answer, but a theory that leaves out important factors to reach a desired conclusion is half baked at best.

It's not that it's uninteresting to me, it's that the diary is already too long, it's perfectly fine to cut out things that aren't germane to the discussion and those issues didn't really seem appropriate to a generalized discussion of this particular issue, which is 'why does living in the US obligate you to contracts you didn't 'sign'?'

And you're right, the argument could be improved but again we run into the issue of length.  Something had to give and I didn't want to give the yahoo on the other end an excuse to dive into the weeds on failures of government.
