    so I doubt it would cost them much. And there might be limits to how much they can do without getting the NFLPA up in their faces.

    Hope he's on the trading block after the season at the very least.

    But at least as Joan said, these kind of remarks are being condemned rather than either applauded or shrugged off -- that shows progress.

      Obviously you haven't paid attention to the 49ers the past two years if you think Culliver isn't good at his job. He's a superb cornerback in the nickel and dime packages, which means he's on the field for at least 50% of defensive snaps.

      I'm greatly saddened by his attitude and outburst. But I can't not root for my team because they have an idiot in the secondary.

      It wasn't long ago that a statement such as Culliver's would have gone unnoticed.  I'm encouraged that the mainstream sports media isn't letting the remarks slide.  Team sports will be among the last places in American society that homophobia dies.
