      I have some income, and my wife's gross is higher than you are computing (her paycheck is net obv.).

        Well, SCHIP is very good, my kids are on it, of course it means they can't go to a pediatrician. Doctors only see the people they can make the most money from.

        You can also just buy insurance on the open market, for kids it's way cheap, we've been doing that for all years before 09.

        Good news is that from the update it looks like you are almost smack dab in the middle as far as household income, half make less, half make more.

        Plus there are good limits on max out of pocket.

        We hope to have your problem.

          Below the poverty line.  Then my wife got her job and of course you are right: I still wouldn't go back.  But it's pretty sick that if she got a job with the same take-home pay but no benefits, we would be way better off (come 2014).  It's asinine to set up a perverse condition like that.
