    inform them, have to see in order to believe. If they don't see it, it doesn't exist. They imagine, but they have no imagination. By that I mean they can replay in their mind's eye images that they have seen before (in the movies or on TV), but they can't imagine what hasn't yet happened. So, they can't predict the effect (if they are lawmakers) of the laws they make. Their lawmaking is reactive -- they are reacting to the requests of some lobbyists and have no clue what it will mean in actual practice.

    Letting such people represent the public is a big mistake. Yes, dumb people deserve to be represented, but not by people who are dumber than they.
    I would, btw, apply that same argument to Justice Clarence Thomas.

    We organize governments to deliver services and prevent abuse.
