  •  Brown chairs subcommittee--Financial Institutions (8+ / 0-)

and Consumer Protection.  Perhaps he would call hearings, but they probably would get less attention.  Warren, alas, isn't on that subcommittee.

Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream of things that never were and ask why not?

are in order to spur these people on.  Remind these folks that when WORKERS get back on their feet, the economy improves.  It really is just that simple.

Some prosecutions of these scumbags will stop a few others from following in their footsteps.  Put new laws in place.

Remember and remind them:  REGULATED capitalism is the only kind that has ever worked.

      •  How easy is this. (7+ / 0-)

On the front page,Joan McCarter posted the following diary:  What are your budget priorities? Tell the Senate Democrats

It contains a link to this.............

“I want to bring the voices of the American people into a budget process and conversation that is too often limited to bureaucrats and politicians.” –Chairman Patty Murray
Welcome to MyBudget, an online platform for members of the public to weigh in as our nation works to tackle our budget and economic challenges.
I feel very strongly that politicians and bureaucrats shouldn’t be making our budget decisions in a vacuum, but that the ideas, stories, values, and priorities of families across the country have a loud voice at the table and a platform to be heard.

So please, use the forms below to tell us what you think. Share your stories about how federal budget decisions have impacted your family, your community, and your job. Let us know what issues we should be focused on. And pass along your ideas for how we can tackle our budget challenges responsibly.

I look forward to hearing from you!

        Senator Patty Murray, Chairman

We want to hear from you

Clink on the link and give them a piece of your mind.  I did - twice.   Turning our kids into felons and indentured servants while these crooks get tax cuts and bonuses.

What we need is a Democrat in the White House.

          Press Release of Senator Warren

Statement from Sen Elizabeth Warren on re-nomination of Richard Cordray to lead the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

          Thursday, January 24, 2013

"I am very pleased that the President has decided to re-nominate Rich Cordray as Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I worked with Rich to set up the agency and believe he is a strong leader with a proven track record of fighting for consumers and pushing for a level playing field between big banks and smaller financial institutions like community banks and credit unions. The CFPB has had an extraordinary first year and a half - holding credit card companies accountable for cheating consumers and adopting the first set of rules to clean up the mortgage market. Senate confirmation of Rich's nomination will continue this momentum, benefiting families, establishing certainty, and safeguarding the economy as a whole from reckless and dangerous consumer lending."
Big words. Big leader. Big stakes.
