and of course the work of others who are fighting on behalf of young Native children and their families are all of great importance. The struggle is so long, and people waging it get so weary, but it does make a difference even if it is "only" one by one.
I know you understand this far better than I do given your direct and long-standing involvement. But I wanted to say I salute your commitment to doing all you can to make life better for this generation and those to follow.
From looking at the information provided on the LPLP's website I see that one of the U.S. Reps who were involved in calling for accountability and action was Dale Kildee (with whom you may be familiar) in the Flint area. His nephew succeeded him in office, and I will contact him to urge him to pursue this matter himself. There are also MCKs in his district, I believe, and I can share that information with them, too.
I will also put the LPLP on the list of groups to whom I'd like to contribute, and I am sure we can send something their way before spring.
This must stop. Five hundred and twenty-one years is already far too long.
Peace and blessings to you and to all who need justice and community.

Some DKos series & groups worth your while: Black Kos, Native American Netroots, KosAbility, Monday Night Cancer Club. If you'd like to join the Motor City Kossacks, send me a Kosmail.
