  •  Milwaukee OLB action last night - silent protest, (13+ / 0-)

or a "reminder" really that we exist, aimed at the School Board... for funding, "specials" (arts and phys ed), fair contracts for Ed Assistants...

But the blame really belongs with Walker and his Republican pals in the Legislature that stripped so much from our schools and prohibited municipalities and counties from making up the difference by raising property taxes.

School boards all over the state have shut down art, music, sports, and crammed lots of students into classrooms that were already overfilled.

One of the biggest employment draws our state had was our awesome education.  Walker threw it away so he could pad corporate pockets with even more.

in Wi have decreased since walkers been using his 'tools' to gut everything that will get his buddies a fast buck is worthwhile in this state?

Wondering if anyone has been able to put a number on this (over and above the bad economy and the burst of the RE bubble). Maybe some way to compare the value of residential real estate-before walkers 'policies' came into effect, and after.

Just guessing that figure can be measured..somehow, but have no idea how to go about it. If the # are negative, it would be good to counter his not working meme. This, unfortunately, would prevent people who need to move (mines, jobs education and healthcare issues) from his toxic and dangerous agenda.

I did try to find out for myself (google) etc..but got nowhere.

        Always good info, Puddy.

    •  Wish me and Mr PK could have made it! (7+ / 0-)

Wanted to but PK mother-in-law still in ICU; getting better but still needs our attention. Then on top of it, Mr PK has really bad stomach flu today; I am not sure if I want to go home and risk exposure.  I hate throwing up..........

Am thinking of going next weekend if car pooling is an option. Will inquire on our page.

Good job everyone who was there.  I wish I could have drunk in the energy of the night; I really miss it.

on every single surface, especially things anyone touches like doorknobs and toilet levers and such, to kill off the norovirus if that's what it is.

And wash hands, hot soapy water and rubbing for 30 seconds, frequently.

That sets off asthma attacks in many people and the "bleach fumes" tend to linger.  Even to non-asthmatics it creates problems.  There are many non-bleach alternatives that are just as effective including steam which is more environmentally safe and non toxic to humans and critters.

If bleach is to be used, a 10% solution is just as effective as full strength.  10% is what hospitals use to disinfect contaminated areas.
