    similar stew but I use thighs with bone and skin, and brown the skin and then cook the thighs down and drain the grease.
    It is my totally unscientific opinion that I'm getting a better broth that way, with loads of glucosamines etc.
    The asian flavor is just what we need for a break from the routine.
    We grow our own ginger. Good use for it.
    I often  use frozen green lima beans, very tasty.

    You can't make this stuff up.
