  •  I used to have a Champion juicer. (6+ / 0-)

From what I understand they're the top of line, practically. Some folks who owned a juice bar I used to frequent back in the day recommended it; it's what they used basically.

It's particularly good if you like vegetable juices, which I did, but it will do fruits too. A lot of people like apples in veg juice blends, but I prefer straight veggies: carrot, celery, beet, etc. Yum.

Unfortunately for me, I'm allergic to anything that involves clean-up chores in the kitchen. Cleaning the Champion was a major chore (imo) and I eventually stopped using it. Then eventually sold it at a garage sale ... I expect cleaning any brand of juicer is going to be about the same, so if you're okay with that, you'd like the Champion.

    •  I hesitate to own more than one hammer for fear (4+ / 0-)

that everything would start to look like a nail.  the same for carbonaters and juicers.  As it is, I drink about one 12 oz carbonated drink per 3 days and 2 Gatorades per week and rely on water for the rest of my fluid intake.  I am sedentary enough that any large variation in this can result in packing on the pounds so anything that would induce me to experiment could be a bad thing for me (also I am a complete sugar freak left to myself which is bad for a diabetic but I was raised on cane syrup and never lost the taste)

    •  Thanks for the info (0+ / 0-)

I don't mind cleaning the thing as long as it will take the whole fruit etc.
