    home will be better.

No one wants to have their lives upended in just a few days. Even though we always know life can change in an instant, we live as though it won't...until it does.

You and Leaves are showing both strength and grace as you move through this new challenge, and we who only observe can learn from you...so thank you for sharing. But you also need privacy. We can continue to send our caring thoughts and prayers even when you aren't posting regularly.

And, even though it is cold today, I see that Punxsutawney Phil is predicting a short winter. May this be an especially sweet spring for you both.

at least over next two weeks while I am home fulltime with her.  I may not be posting about us, but instead will resume my writing on politics, education, human rights, music, history  -  the various things that still hold my interest.

Not having the 10 hours minimum between leaving the house for school and getting home plus the additional 1-2 hours at home I am likely to have a LOT of time for writing and reading, at least once I get through cleaning out a lot of stuff in this house we know we need to get rid of.

And once I have at least the public areas of the house in order, she will be welcoming visitors.

        sounds good.

I can imagine that would be good for both of you. As Leaves starts to feel better, she too will be returning to "the world."

It's not your "old life" and your "new life" -- it's just life.

More clarity, maybe more gratitude -- but life. (Says the person who has no credentials to comment on any of this. But I think that's how I would HOPE to see it -- otherwise, I would probably spend way too much time mourning my "lost" previous life.)

Anyway, enjoy being home together, wrapped in all the DK love that has come your way. There's more where that came from.
