  •  I'm a Mama who's gotta brag on her kid. (15+ / 0-)

My oldest girlie took the ACT.

    She got a 32.

I cannot keep this to myself any longer.

I could burst my buttons, I'm so proud.

Please lawd in the sky, make with a good college scholarship!

      A composite 36? Wow.

Be ready for the scholarship offers to start pouring in. I got a 32 on mine (36 math, 29 English, 32 on everything else) and I got all sorts of mail from all sorts of colleges. (This was some 40 years ago. I don't even remember what I got on my SATs.)

      •  Composite 32. :) (0+ / 0-)

Her category scores for Science and Reading were her highest = 35s  Everything else was a little lower.  Her Math, which I am surprised about, was actually her lowest and pulled the total score down, I think.

I deeply wish she were more interested in Science for work, but she wants a life in art.  So now my job as her Mama is to do everything I can to help her get there.

In any case, I'm just ear to ear smiles about this.

        Thanks! :D

          That's an impressive achievement.

As for being interested in Science, well, we are all wired differently and sometimes the wiring changes. I thought I wanted to be a teacher, probably of high school German or math, until I discovered personal computers. From that day forward there was only one thing I wanted to do.

Whatever she decides to do, I hope she's the best at it. Good luck!
